Welcome to the main page for Module IV: TransitionThe First Steps Transition Training will provide Missouri early intervention providers information about the transition processes that are part of the First Steps system. This training addresses the components of transition as required by Part C and provides suggestions for ensuring that transitions are smooth and effective for children and their families.
Note: This course provides the information that you will need to pass the assessment for this module. You will need to read and understand all the information presented to be able to pass the assessment. When there is a link to information you need to read and understand that information also. You will be tested on the information that is linked.
To access each component click on the bolded, underlined words below. Following the links are some guidelines for each component.
Most lessons will be followed by Review Questions. Please take time to answer the questions. These questions are meant to facilitate your understanding of the material. You will not be submitting your answers to these questions. These questions will help you to think in terms of guidelines that are part of the First Steps program. These items are important and set by state and federal law. Please think of the correct answer and review the answer in the above readings as needed. These are the types of questions that will be on the assessment you will need to pass for completion of this module.
The Assessment opens every Thursday at 1:00 a.m. and closes on Monday at 8:00 a.m. You will have only one chance during this time to complete and submit the assessment. If you fail the assessment you may retake it the following week.
